Music We Play @ Salon Musa

Since our fatal computer crash this past winter, we haven't been able to bulk up our iTunes playlist, so we buckled down and paid for (gasp!) Pandora Radio with no annoying commercials about car insurance or stupid movies :)

A lot of our customers ask us what we listen to.... I guess it depends on who is playing DJ God that day.

If Bushi is in charge of the music, he'll put on the Moby or Thievery Corporation radio on Pandora.

Yasuko and Eri love the Feist station.

I've been playing the Mayer Hawthorne and Little Dragon radio stations.

For the most part, we change it up month to month because we get into different things from month to month...If you ever find yourself getting your hair cut in one of our vintage barber chairs and wonder, "what is this song?" Just ask and we shall supply!

Welcome our new plant!

As some of you already know, Bushi and Yasuko are constantly working to evolve and improve the interior of the shop. We love when our lovely regulars come by and say, "Hey, is that new?" So please welcome our the new vegetation at our salon!

It's a Japanese Maple Tree or Acer palmatum. These plants are native to Japan, North Korea, South Korea, China, eastern Mongolia, and southeast Russia. We hope maple-chan will grow into a fine tree one day!

It's been a year since we opened shop on Sullivan Street. We wanted to thank all of our loyal and AMAZING clients for all the wonderful support. We could not do this without each and every one of you. We hope that you will all continue to support us!

We have snacks, tea, coffee, and of course, CHAMPAGNE chilling on ice to celebrate - so stop by and have a glass of bubbly with us at the salon (^_^)
